The Sprachtreff Bücherei Erda kicked of the ecclesial prelude to the intercultural week of the Lahn-Dill-Kreis.

20 refugees, volunteer reading mentors and refugee assistants from the Protestant parish wandered around 8 kilometres to “conquer” the Jugendburg Hohensolms. All participating people of different cultural and religious backgrounds had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area together.

“We have had the experience that refugee families like to come when we offer something special,” says Pippa Brück from the Sprachtreff. To share this path collectively is what makes it so nice.

At Hohensolms Castle, everyone was invited to pizza and a one-hour guided tour, before returning to Erda on a paved road, which was ideal for families with pushchairs.
